| It is pointed out in the Curriculum Standards that advanced reading in primary school English requires students to understand the reading text in terms of language knowledge and skills.But high school is the student really get in touch with reading period,students’ cognitive development has not yet mature,and read the content is more complex,the student to understand the abstract language,through creating situation abstract reading text into the image of the situation,not only conforms to high school students’ cognitive development needs,promote students’ cognitive development,also can help students better understand the reading text.In addition,English reading contains rich culture.In order to enable students to understand the culture behind the language,it is necessary to create a corresponding cultural context for students.Therefore,in order to achieve the teaching objectives of advanced English reading in primary schools,it is necessary to create a context in the teaching of advanced English reading in primary schools.However,through the literature review,it is found that there are problems in the context creation of current advanced reading teaching in primary school English.For example,teachers do not consider the reality of students’ life,and the context created is divorced from students’ life.As a result,the context created in reading teaching lacks authenticity,and it is difficult to close the distance between students and the reading content.Therefore,it is helpful to solve these practical problems to study the strategies of situational creation in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English.Focusing on reading teaching and context creation as the key words,this study conducted a literature review,and found the shortcomings of the research on context creation in primary school English reading teaching.Aiming at the existing problems in context creation in primary school English reading teaching,this study aimed to construct an optimal path of context creation strategy.This study is also based on the theory of situational teaching and the theory of second language acquisition.According to the theory,creating a situation in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English is conducive to stimulating students’ interest in reading,resolving students’ reading difficulties,and thus achieving the teaching objectives of advanced reading in primary school English.It is also pointed out that the created situation needs to be true in shape,beautiful in environment,intense in emotion and distant in meaning,so as to meet the cognitive and aesthetic needs of primary school students and provide theoretical guidance for the construction of subsequent strategies.This study first elaborates the connotation and value of the creation of context in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English,then describes the current situation of its creation through interviews and classroom observation,and analyzes the reasons behind the problems.Based on this,it puts forward the optimal path of the creation strategy.In order to verify the effectiveness and appropriateness of the strategy,this study conducted a confirmatory analysis based on specific cases,and finally put forward some suggestions to ensure the effectiveness of context creation in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English from the aspects of preparation,implementation and evaluation.Specific steps,views and conclusions are included in the following five aspects.The first is to explain the creation of context in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English from the perspective of connotation and value.The research finds that the creation of context in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English can help students perceive abstract reading content and solve reading difficulties.To understand the cultural background of reading and cultivate their cultural awareness;To realize the beauty of reading texts to meet their aesthetic needs;Feel the emotion contained in reading to cultivate their sentiment;Experience the artistic conception in reading to promote the development of thinking;Understanding the meaning of reading improves language ability.Secondly,through interviews with teachers and students,combined with classroom observation,the author understands the current situation and existing problems in the teaching of high-level reading in primary school English.This study established the interview four dimensions,namely the high period of primary school English reading teaching,creating situation cognition and attitude,situation creation process and the implementation,creating situation evaluation and reflection,to find teachers in English reading teaching establishment situation exists when the teacher did not clear the purpose of creating situation,establishment situation by teachers and students difference in their life experience,teachers situation creation reflecting on such problems as not enough,and carried out the analysis of internal cause and external cause,found that teachers’ theoretical knowledge and creating situation not rich teaching resources,etc.The third is to construct the optimal path of situational creation strategy in the teaching of advanced reading in primary school English.First discusses the strategy to build target,that is,to solve the problems existing in the creating situation of reading teaching,improve students’ reading literacy and promoting teachers’ professional growth,then need to follow the principle of building strategy,and then from the three stages of reading teaching situation creation strategy types,read before stage based on actual situation,combined with the experience of life information technology shows the situation;In the reading stage,emphasis is placed on using text illustrations to describe the situation and emotional power to render the situation.In the post-reading stage,role playing can be used to create situations and present simulation situations of actual problems.Fourthly,the conditions to ensure the implementation of the strategy are expounded from internal and external aspects.The fourth is to verify the rationality and feasibility of the strategy constructed through the case,and make it clear that these several strategies can be used at the same time,or can be used alone,and can be comprehensively considered according to the teaching content and the learning situation of students.Fifthly,the paper puts forward some suggestions to ensure the effectiveness of situational creation in the teaching of advanced reading in primary schools.This study starts from three aspects of situation creation.The preparatory suggestions are to improve teachers’ theoretical literacy of situation creation and clarify the goals of situation creation.Implementing advice is that teachers consider the characteristics of students’ cognitive development and arouse students’ emotions.The evaluative suggestion is that teachers actively reflect on the process of situation creation and make a comprehensive evaluation of the situation creation. |
