HSK is a standardized test for international Chinese proficiency for testing the Chinese proficiency of non-Chinese speakers.It is currently the most influential Chinese proficiency test,which has been implemented worldwide.HSK scores play an important role in the learning process of Chinese learners,so improving HSK scores is the common goal of both learners and teachers.If students can use learning strategies properly,improving their academic performance will achieve twice the result with half the effort.In China,the investigation and research on learners’ learning strategies started relatively late,starting in the late 1980 s.Through the literature review on CNKI and Wanfang,the author finds that the research on learners’ learning strategies in China mainly focuses on English testing and mathematics testing,while the research on Chinese testing and even Chinese testing as a foreign language is relatively rare,which is basically in its infancy.Therefore,it is necessary to study the washback effect of HSK on the learning strategies of advanced Chinese students.It is of reference significance for Chinese teachers to master the learning strategies of learners and give guidance to students,and provide reference for the in-depth development of the study of learning strategies in multiple disciplines and fields.This study takes Cambodian advanced students and Chinese teachers in a vocational college in Guizhou Province as the research object,using questionnaire survey,personal interview,classroom observation,data analysis,and other research tools.This paper aims to explore the washback effect of HSK on the learning strategies of advanced Chinese students,analyze the backwash effect,and put forward targeted guidance for the appropriate use of learning strategies in the process of Chinese learning for advanced Chinese students.The results show that HSK does have a washback effect on the learning strategies of Chinese advanced students,and there is a great relationship between the proper and reasonable use of learning strategies and the HSK scores of Chinese advanced students.Appropriate learning strategies for Chinese language learners are conducive to improving their HSK scores,learning strategies and autonomous learning ability.Moreover,through the overall observation,it can be seen that the effect of HSK level 3 on the learning strategies of Chinese learners is mainly positive.In addition,HSK also has a effect on the frequency of learning strategies used by advanced students.Finally,base on the analysis and summary of the survey results,this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions respectively for Chinese advanced students and Chinese teachers,in the hope of providing some help for Chinese advanced students to improve their Chinese learning effect,and providing some reference for Chinese teachers in scientific and effective teaching.
