| "Gun" related constructions are commonly used in the modern spoken Chinese.It often means nagation,rebuke,rejection or dissatisfaction in imperative sentences.This paper from the perspective of cognitionand pragmatics to carry out systematic and comprehensive research on "Gun" related constructions which express negative meaning,and show the perspective of "Gun" related constructions’ classify and its reasons and mechanism of grammaticalization.There are six components in this paper.The first chapter is the introduction part.Chapter two,chapter three,chapter four and chapter five are the main body of this paper.Chapter two,chapter three and chapter four focus on the "Gun" related contruction on itself.The fifth chapter is compared "Gun" related constructions with similar structures.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.The first chapter introduces the background and significance of the research,summarizes the existing research,points out shortcomings,and explains the research thinking,research methods and source of corpus.The second chapter discusses the syntactic representation of "Gun" related constructions with negative imperatives.This chapter divides "Gun" related constructions into four groups:Using alone,Adverbial modifier+"Gun","Gun"+complement and "Gun" +noun composition.This chapter authenticates "Gun" related constructions.It judges "Gun" related constructions meeting the definition of construction.Meaanwhile,this chapter makes internal comparisons and analyzes the similarities and differences among them.The third chapter discusses types and functions of "Gun" related constructions with negative imperatives.This chapter divides negation into utterance nagation and behavior nagation.Meanwhile,it investigates the negative constructure of speech act,interpersonal function,emotional function,expression of position and discourse marking function.The fourth chapter mainly studies the motivation and mechanism of "Gun"related constructions.Based on the diachronic studies,we can confirm "Gun" related constructions has grammaticalized.The chapter researches motivations and mecha-nism of grammaticalization from five aspects:Extra-linguistic context,Subjectivization,Pragmatic reasoning,Metaphor and Context absorption.The fifth chapter mainly compares "Gun" related constructions with similar structures,and compares the extent of grammaticalization and negation.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.This part summarizes the viewpoints and shortcomings of this paper,and the direction of future efforts.Generally speaking,this paper notices "Gun" related constructions in several ways from types of structure and negative imperatives,grammaticalization motivation and mechanism,and structural comparison.This paper points out that"Gun" related constructions which express negative meaning have been grammaticalization.The construction always accompanied by strong subjective emotions and negates words and actions in context,serves several discourse functions at the same time. |
