As an important material for children’s early reading in China,the educational value of picture books in children’s growth is self-evident.With the improvement of children’s education awareness of relevant groups in the society,the importance of picture books is gradually recognized.How to design picture books that can meet children’s cognition and bring positive impact on children’s growth has become a common problem for design practitioners.From the perspective of children’s growth,children’s cognition is still in the stage of development,their understanding of abstract thinking is limited,and they tend to use intuitive and emotional feelings to understand the content of picture books.In this context,this paper discusses the design and analysis of picture books from the perspective of children’s emotional characteristics.Firstly,under the guidance of Piaget’s cognitive theory and infant’s emotional differentiation theory,this paper discusses children’s emotional development characteristics and emotional characteristics;Then it analyzes and expounds the design requirements of picture books under children’s emotional characteristics,decomposes the elements of picture book design and puts forward specific design methods.Combined with the theoretical level of research,complete the design and creation of the picture book of the adventures of deer,make it in line with children’s emotional characteristics,and bring positive effects for children’s cognitive development.
