| The Internet has accelerated the process of social development and influenced all aspects of people’s lives.In this translation practice report,the author translated two chapters in The Networked Citizen: Power,Politics,and Resistance in the Internet Age.This book describes the process of network development and its impact on citizens’ participation in political life,explains the trend of network politics,and makes suggestions for maintaining good order in online political participation.According to the process of translation practice,this report made a brief introduction of the translation task and three stages of translation process,and the framework of“Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation” proposed by Li Changshuan,and then analyzed typical cases with this framework,elaborated on the problems encountered,analyzed the causes and put forward solutions.In case analysis,the author analyzed them from three aspects: comprehension,expression and adaptation.For comprehension,it mainly focused on the comprehension of context and words;when it comes to expression,it mainly depended on adjusting narrative modes and sentence structures,and avoiding translationese to express with concise Chinese;in terms of adaptation,it mainly used amplification,omission and flexible expression to improve the quality of translation.The author has reviewed the entire translation process and summarized the gains and limitations in this translation practice.In future,the author will make further efforts to increase knowledge reserves,strengthen language skills to make the translation smoother and more coherent. |
