| Children’s picture book is one of the earliest literary forms for children,and it is also one of the important media for children to understand and feel the world.Under the background of media convergence,the narrative carrier of children’s picture books is changing from material media to information media.Therefore,the cross media narrative of children’s picture books has become a hot topic in academia and society.Interactive narrative is the theoretical product of narratology after the development of interdisciplinary and cross media.It is an important development plate in the field of cross media narrative.In recent years,interactive narrative has been widely used in news,film and television,games and other digital fields.Its unique characteristics in narrative text,narrative structure,narrative form and other aspects are highly consistent with the cross media narrative needs of children’s picture books,which provides a new perspective and new way for cross media research of children’s picture books.Based on this,it has certain practical and social significance to involve interactive narrative in the design of children’s picture books,to meet the needs of children’s picture book reading as "digital aborigines",and to enhance children’s picture book reading experience.This paper comprehensively uses the methods of literature research,interdisciplinary research,questionnaire interview,case analysis,card classification and so on,takes children’s picture books as the research object,takes the characteristics of interactive narrative as the research content,and analyzes the narrative mode of children’s picture books from the relevant theories of interactive narrative,This paper aims to seek the interactive narrative design strategy of children’s picture books in the context of media integration.First of all,this paper analyzes the current social background,industry background and design trend,summarizes the relevant theoretical research status at home and abroad,clarifies the research purpose and significance of the subject,and clarifies the research process and framework of the subject.Secondly,it analyzes the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development,introduces the relevant theoretical model of children’s cognitive development,discusses the feasibility and necessity of interactive narrative intervention in children’s picture books,and analyzes the key and difficult points of interactive narrative intervention in children’s picture books.Then,based on Roland Barthes’ three levels of narrative works and Marie Laure Ryan’s theory of interactive narrative,the interactive narrative system of children’s picture books is constructed from five narrative modules: narrative text,narrative plot,narrative structure,narrative subject and narrative form.Then,the interactive narrative design elements of children’s picture books are extracted.According to the results of qualitative and quantitative research,the current situation of children’s picture book reading is explained,and the direction of interactive narrative design of children’s picture books is determined.Finally,the principles and strategies of interactive narrative design of children’s picture books are put forward according to the functional level,action level and narrative level of children’s picture books,in order to get reusable design methodology.In summary,the introduction of interactive narrative design into children’s picture books can break the traditional media restrictions,show the story world of picture books to children’s readers from a multi-dimensional perspective through technology,better restore the plot of picture books,create an immersive picture book reading environment for children,and encourage children to actively participate in the creation of picture book content,Effective establishment of positive interaction between children and picture books. |
