The Representation Of The Strange Animal Image In The Creation Of Ceramics In Shan Hai Jing

"The Classic of Mountains and Seas" is an ancient book compiled from oral legends of the pre-Qin Dynasty in China.The animal described in the book is full of romantic imagination color,and it records the history and culture of the ancient wisdom of the Chinese nation,with unique artistic charm.The author aims to express his respect for the traditional culture by studying the exotic animals in the Classic of Mountains and Seas and explore the confident ceramic artistic expression of the traditional culture.Through sorting out the classification and characteristics of exotic animals in the Classic of Mountains and Seas,and inviting different types of artists to analyze exotic animal themed art works in the Classic of Mountains and Seas,this paper selects three auspicious animals,"poor Qi","li li" and "salmon",as exotic animal modeling elements to trace the source of creation.On the one hand,from the perspective of theoretical research,this paper summarizes and analyzes the historical records of strange animals,which lays a foundation for the creation of ceramic art.On the other hand,from the perspective of practice,sculpture is used to shape the art form,and the artistic language of ceramic creation is used to show the author’s admiration for the classic literature and ancient books of Chinese culture.
