| As a traditional Chinese musical instrument,Chinese zither has been developing for nearly three thousand years.Its development is invested with ancient Chinese culture.So far,the inheritance of Chinese zither has become a hot topic.Inheritance must not be inseparable from the process of education,and when it comes to Chinese zither education,people have to think of Mr.Cao Zheng.Mr.Cao Zheng ispraised as a leading Chinese zither performer,educator and theorist in the Chinese zither circle who has made great contributions to the cause of Chinese zither education.By sorting out and analyzing the articles left by Mr.Cao Zheng,I find that Mr.Cao Zheng’s research on theory is more than that on performance and more theoretical research is directed at the development of Chinese zither education.At present,all the Chinese zither performers or Chinese zither educators who are known by us are inextricably linked with Mr.Cao Zheng.For example,my teacher Zhang Guisheng is one of Mr.Cao Zheng’s students.The emergence of a large number of Chinese zither scholars,the continuous outflow of Chinese zither social training institutions and the ever-increasing phenomenon of Chinese zither activities should have fulfilled Mr.Cao Zheng’s long-cherished wish.However,in the face of the shortcomings of Chinese zither education,people have to consider whether it will be popular temporarily and then decline like other musical instruments.I have also worried about this and consulted Mrs.Guo Lin.She thought Chinese zither would not decline like other musical instruments.It is also found after sorting out Mr.Cao Zheng’s documents that the purpose of Mr.Cao Zheng promoting Chinese zither music is to return Chinese zither to the folk".He has brought folk culture into institutions of higher learning.After rigorous academic research and discussion,he hopes to return Chinese zither to the folk.His long-cherished wish is to popularize Chinese zither education to every family.This thesis expounds Mr.Cao Zheng’s contribution to Chinese zither education in four chapters.The first chapter describes Mr.Cao Zheng’s life and his story with Chinese zither according to the track of time.First,it describes that Mr.Cao Zheng formed ties with Chinese zither from his first trip to Beijing;secondly,it tells that Mr.Cao Zheng went to Xuzhou to promote Chinese zither and did a series of activities;and then he went to Nanjing for a short time of Chinese zither teaching;after self-recommendation to be a teacher in a university in Northeast China,he did a lot of theoretical research in the stable period of Northeast China;and finally he returned to Chinese Conservatory of Music in Beijing.Chapter two elaborates Cao Zheng’s contribution to the theoretical construction of Chinese zither,including the compilation of teaching materials,the theoretical study of Chinese zither score and fingering,and the theoretical study of the history of Chinese zither.Chapter three is Cao Zheng’s contribution to the construction of Chinese zither teaching ideology,which is elaborated from three aspects: talent construction,popularization and moral education.The last chapter is the enlightenment to the current teaching of Chinese zither.It draws inspiration from Mr.Cao Zheng’s contribution to the education of Chinese zither,which mainly embodies in the aspects of teaching materials,teaching methods and teaching ideas. |
