The belief of Guangfu Liwang in Jiangnan was originally a local folk belief formed after the Song Dynasty aboriginal groups deified the young witches of Changxing.With the change of time,the content of Guangfu Liwang’s faith gradually became richer.After the period of Jian Yan Nan Du,the indigenous people in Jiangnan took the initiative to connect the myth of the belief of Guangfu Liwang with the myth of the Southern Song royal family,and gave more legends about the protection of the country,because the idea of "loyalty" contained in it made the belief of Guangfu Liwang was recognized and granted by the Song Dynasty.During the Southern Song Dynasty,the belief of Guangfu Liwang was related to the Zhachuan Zhi Bian,so the spread of the faith of Guangfu Liwang gradually shifted to Huzhou.Because of the geographical advantage and economic communication,The belief of Guangfu Liwang is quickly spread southward along the waterway.During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties,with the development of Jiangnan shipping,the belief of Guangfu Liwang is gradually evolved into the belief in Poseidon due to various factors.During the Song Dynasty,a large number of immigrants from the north entered the Jiangnan,and there was a process of interaction with Jiangnan indigenous people in terms of folk beliefs.The main manifestation is that both the indigenous beliefs are accepted by the northern immigrant groups,and there is also the phenomenon that the native folk beliefs brought by the northern immigrants have become the mainstream beliefs in parts of Jiangnan.However,during the Song and Yuan dynasties,the interaction between the northern immigrants and the indigenous peoples in Jiangnan in terms of folk beliefs occurred only partially,and the changes in folk beliefs,especially the changes in the objects of folk beliefs,were not obvious enough.In the Ming Dynasty,some folk belief objects in Jiangnan area had undergone drastic changes.Among them,the belief of Guangfu Liwang in Jiangnan,and the identities of gods worshipped in different regions have been significantly alienated.At the turn of the Song Dynasty,in the Huzhou、changzhou area,where the geographical position is relatively north,and the northern immigrants moved into less frequently at the turn of the Song Dynasty,the worship object of Guangfu Liwang is still the original native Li Lu,but Hangzhou 、Shaoxing 、 Ningbo,who has accepted a large number of immigrants from the north,is relatively south.In the region,the image of Guangfu Liwang changed from a native to Li Xianzhong,a famous general.Although the area where Guangfu Liwang’s belief object changed,there is a certain correlation with the relative distribution of the descendants of northern immigrants after Jian Yan Nan Du.However,contrary to this northern imagery,the descendants of these immigrants did not cling to their ancestors’ “outsiders” status,but actively regarded themselves as southern natives.Take Li Xianzhong,who is respected by the descendants of immigrants,for example.The descendants of the Ming Dynasty of the family have repeatedly emphasized their indigenous identity in their genealogy and are proud of it.This kind of place consciously also occurs in other similar family.The belief of Guangfu Liwang is shared by the natives of Jiangnan and the descendants of immigrants from the north.There are many factors.Although the object of belief has been alienated in the process of dissemination,it generally reflects the trend of indigenousization and integration of immigrant descendants.
