Ordos plateau is located in the North of China,Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Mongolians,the Han and the Hui ethnic groups have flourish in this place,the ethnic culture is complex and changeable,and the ethnic relations are intricate.Within this geographical entity,the living environment of all ethnic groups is basically similar,but different ethnic groups choose different styles of belief according to their historical origins and national characteristics.Based on the research of existing academic,on the study of the folk beliefs of the Mongolian and Han nationalities in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,expounds its basic characteristics,common and special style,and to explore the causes of different ethnic beliefs,focuses on the dynamic process of the formation of beliefs,also discusses the social functions of folk beliefs in the Ordos Plateau.Nature worship and social deity belief are two wings of folk beliefs in the Ordos Plateau.The former embodies the people's understanding of the objective entities of nature.The former embodies the people's understanding of the objective entities of nature.The belief and worship of the heaven and earth,the sun and the moon,the God of thunder,the Dragon God,the fire god and the flag are widely existed among the Han and Mongolian people,but their beliefs are not homogeneous and the worshiping characteristics are different.In comparison,Mongolian worship of nature is more abundant,and the belief of Oboo is the most significant and special way of expression.The folk beliefs in the Ordos Plateau are constructed by many factors,and are the integration and changes of Han nationality and Mongolian history and culture.Tibetan Buddhism has transformed the rituals and spiritual systems of the Mongolian People's beliefs.Shamanism as the source of belief,the way of offering sacrifices and the system of gods have an important influence on the composition of later generations' beliefs.In addition,the immigration movement and the entry of the farming economy also affected the development of Mongolian faith.It showed the Mongolian's acceptance of the Han people's belief or the Han's belief in Mongolia,and the destruction of faith by ethnic conflicts.The temple fair and the "ghosts" conference are usually the exchange of folk materials,and the Han and Mongolian are all active participants.The maintenance and construction of the temples and the presiding of the games usually have a very strong political meaning,which embodies the control of the royal power and the nobility.In addition,the folk beliefs also have the function of maintaining the stability of the countryside,enhancing the identity of the ethnic group and strengthening the cohesion of the tribe.The folk belief in the Ordos Plateau is the side reflection of the spirit world of the Mongolians and the Han nationality since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.It is the organic composition of the local culture.During the centuries of evolution,people's political and economic activities jointly constructed the process.
