From the founding of the Republic of China to the founding of the Nanjing National Government, the problem of intellectual women suicide is more serious. In this relatively loose political environment, the press public opinion has formed a huge "public opinion space" by openly discussing the suicide of intellectual women. The intellectual elites’ discussion on the suicide of intellectual women, such as the theory, causes and relief methods of suicide, has become the entry point of advocating social transformation and political revolution. This process not only aroused the people’s revolutionary enthusiasm, but also brought the problem of intellectual women’s suicide into the macro political narration of saving the nation from subjugation, which lost the particularity of intellectual women group. The discussion of public opinion has formed a strong discourse power, prompting the state to actively or passively intervene and participate in the relief of suicide. The participation of the state not only affects the transformation of public opinion, but also affects personal emotional experience. There is a ripple like interaction among individuals, society and the state. The particularity of intellectual female identity in the early Republic of China lies in the advanced and open of their ideas. However, the cultural concepts of the alternation between the old and the new have led to the confusion of the moral identity of the intellectual women.Meanwhile,in the process of social transformation, the relatively lagging social development and the legacy of traditional moral concepts make the female thoughts and practice out of touch. Finally, the way to end confusion and pain through suicide.
