| With the diversification of ways to helping others online,helping behavior online has become frequent and convenient.Due to the fact that the network environment is the platform for the occurrence of online helping behavior,it is one of the important factors that affect online helping behavior.In recent years,reverse news has brought a large number of negative impacts,which have received widespread attention in the fields of journalism,communication,and psychology.In psychology,Few studies on reverse news have only focused on the impact of reverse news on interpersonal trust when the initial news is negative,but ignored the impact of reverse news,when the initial news is positive.At the same time,the large amount of public opinion brought by reverse news also affects people’s attitude.Therefore,this study will explore the impact of reverse news types and their social opinion valence on college students’ online helping behavior through two sub studies.Study 1 adopted an experimental method to explore the impact of negative-positive/positive-negative reverse news on online helping behavior.It was divided into two groups of experiments,232 subjects were selected.Self compiled two types of reverse news materials,used situational simulation methods to measure online helping behavior.Study 2 adopted an experimental method to explore the impact of social opinion in different valence on online helping behavior under different types of reverse news.98 subjects were selected.The results showed that:(1)In the negative-positive reverse news type,the online helping behavior of the subjects under the reverse news condition was higher than that under the negative news condition without reverse,but lower than that under the positive news condition without reverse.(2)In the positive-negative news type,the online helping behavior of the subjects under the positive news condition without reverse was significantly higher than that under the negative news condition without reverse and the positive-negative news condition,and there was no significant difference between the latter two.The results of study1 indicated that negative-positive reverse news reduces the level of online helping behavior,while positive-negative reverse news has no impact on online helping behavior.(3)There was an interaction between the type of reverse news and the valence of public opinion.The results of study 2 indicates that negative social opinion had a greater impact on negative-positive inversion news,while positive public opinion had a greater impact on positive-negative inversion news.In summary,different types of reverse news and public opinion affect college students’ online helping behavior together.Negative-positive inversion of news can reduce the level of college students’ online helping behavior,and controlling the emergence of negative social opinion can reduce this negative impact;Positive-negative news reversal has no impact on online helping behavior,but increasing positive social opinion can improve online helping behavior. |
