| Along the progress of society,the significance of English as the main communicative language has become more and more prominent.As a very significant part of basic English capabilities,English reading is becoming more and more important.The English Curriculum Standards issued in 2017 suggested to reform the notion of English evaluation,pay more attention to the students’ dominant position,and aim to improve students’ competence,and enhance the skills of students’ English reading ability through evaluation.At present,most of the evaluation methods for English reading are still summative evaluation,and the test method is still in the traditional paper test stage.However,in the era of knowledge economy where new media technologies are changing with each passing day,the Internet has penetrated into all aspects of teacher teaching and student learning.The electronic file evaluation model,as a comprehensive evaluation model based on information technology,can not only comprehensively record the learning situation of students at different stages,but also truly and effectively evaluate the learning activities and progress of students.Therefore,it has received more and more attention.This research is mainly to conduct an action research on the application effect of the electronic portfolio evaluation model in the teaching of English reading in junior high schools.This thesis adopts the form of action research.The two research questions are how to use the electronic portfolio evaluation method and electronic portfolio evaluation method in the English reading teaching whether it influences the student’s reading ability,and how to manifested.In the 18-week action research,teachers used the electronic portfolio evaluation method in reading teaching.In the data analysis,the writer used questionnaires,interviews,pre-test,and post-test to look into students how to behave during the experiment and analyzed the effectiveness of the electronic portfolio evaluation model based on the data produced by SPSS software.Through 18 weeks of research,the final research results show that: The main steps of applying the electronic portfolio evaluation model in junior high school English teaching are as follows:Step1: Establish an electronic portfolio and formulate evaluation criteria for electronic portfolios。Step2: Issue reading tasks to complete the filling of the contents of the electronic portfolio.Step3: Display of electronic portfolio works.In the meantime,the evaluation model of electronic portfolio is beneficial for the student’s reading ability.It can effectively enhance students’ English reading skills,apply English reading strategies and cultivate students’ reflective ability.In addition,in response to the results of this research,the author not only re-examined the positive role of the electronic portfolio evaluation model in junior high school English teaching,but also put forward some teaching findings and teaching enlightenment on how to use this model in junior high school English teaching,and provide relevant information in the future. |
