| During the six years of junior high school and senior high school,English has always been one of the most important subjects for Chinese students to learn.Its teaching quality is concerned by the educational circles and public.We often see such a phenomenon around us that many students who are relatively good at English in junior high school,but after they entering senior high school,their English scores dropped rapidly.For those students who have a weak foundation of English in junior high school,they gradually getting bored of English learning and even give up learning English.Based on the current situation of English teaching transition between junior high school and senior high school in Guizhou minority areas,this study proposes the following two main problems to be solved:1.What is the current situation of English teaching transition from junior to senior high school in Guizhou minority areas?2.What are the factors that caused the unsmoothness of English teaching transition from junior to senior high school in this region?Based on the study of the above two problems,the writer tries to propose some countermeasures in line with the English teaching transition from junior to senior high school in minority areas of Guizhou Province.This research mainly uses literature research,questionnaire,interview and classroom observation to study the transition of English teaching between junior high school and senior high school in Guizhou minority areas.In the preliminary preparation work of this research,the writer made full use of the various resources provided by the school library and website to collect and read a large amount of literature.In the later practice,under the guidance of the instructor,the writer tried to collect relatively objective and real data and materials through the above various research methodologies,and then use Excel and other software for scientific and systematic analysis.The study found that there is indeed a phenomenon of unsmooth English teaching transition from junior to senior high school in Guizhou minority areas.The writer then conducted a four-month follow-up study on this research.Finally,some specific countermeasures were proposed for the problems in the English teaching transition between junior high school and senior high school in Guizhou minority areas.Therefore,for the majority of English teachers in Guizhou minority areas,they should pay full attention to the effectiveness of English teaching transition from junior to senior high school,help students smoothly transition from junior to senior high school English learning,and lay a solid foundation for students’ future learning.Due to the haste of time and the limited English proficiency of the writer,there are still many unsatisfactory aspects in this research.The writer believes that if we want to really solve the problems of English teaching transition between junior high school and senior high school in Guizhou minority areas,more scholars need to devote more time and energy to study this.Finally,the writer hopes that through this study,some corresponding countermeasures can provide some reference or help for the English teaching transition from junior to senior high school in Guizhou minority areas,it is also the original intention of this study. |
