“science fiction is the only real literature”.He thinks that seeing reality from the imagination of science fiction can make us get more real and profound understanding about reality.This contradiction not only reveals the internal tension of ideas,but also forms the tension between “science fiction” and “reality” at the writing level.While providing Liu Cixin with deep writing power,it also forms a unique textual symptom at the surface:using the causality in the formation of space-time view of the universe,hard scientific and technological elements and the image of multi-ethnic in Constant Star civilization,and constantly constructing the connection points of “reality-science fiction” or “science fiction-reality”.Readers follow these connection points to form a aspects:first,the sense of mission of Chinese science fiction writers.Since the new century,how to tell the“Chinese story” has become a common concern in the literary world,which is not only the mission of mainstream literature,but also the problem that needs to be considered in Chinese science fiction.The Chinese science fiction is bound to be closely related to the reality of China.Liu Cixin,bases on these mission and requirement,and finds its own characteristics for the Chinese science fiction through the writing practice of science fiction realism and wins its due position in science fiction writing in the world.Second,the pursuit of the timeliness of science fiction.Both science and reality are developing and changing,which requires science fiction writers to keep pace with the developments of the times.An undeniable fact is that timeliness can make Liu Cixin’s earlier works gradually lose “the magic” of science fiction,but timeliness can also make Liu Cixin follow the traditional “realism” artistic spirit,track and pay attention to the developments of reality,reflect and criticize the problems in reality.With the promotion of timeliness,Liu Cixin is curious about all kinds of desires behind the reality,and through his continuous efforts,creates more science fictions,so that all kinds of desires can be highlighted and shaped in the imagination and virtual
