The emergence of the COVID-19 has changed the daily life of the public.In order to avoid the spread of the virus,people have to choose to live at home.This also makes the "otaku culture" become the focus of mass culture during the epidemic period.The development of otaku culture based on the Internet makes the life of home crowd become colorful during the epidemic period.Pop art advocates that art comes from life,which shortens the distance between art and the public,and integrates artistic creation into the public life.The works under the performance tend to be popular,which is easy to reflect the works of art with the theme of modern public life.Pop art will be integrated into the "otaku culture" theme poster design,through the pop art contrast strong visual expression and popular performance style,to let more people pay attention to understand the otaku culture during the epidemic prevention and control period and the practical questions behind.There are five parts in the article.The headmost part introduces the background of otaku culture during the plague prevention and control period,researchs the development of pop art at China and foreign countries,discusses the new cognition of otaku culture during the epidemic period and the significance of pop art integrating into the creation of otaku culture theme,and sets the research way and research frame;the second part summarizes pop art theory,and analyzes its background,artistic characteristics,representatives,relevant case works and its influence on graphic design.In the third part,the development of otaku culture in the epidemic period is investigated and analyzed.Compared with the otaku culture in the traditional sense,the otaku culture in the period of epidemic prevention and control has the development characteristics of passivity,reality,popularity and positivity.On this basis,we need to pay attention to the public psychological characteristics under the otaku culture in the period of epidemic prevention and control,the impact of "infodemic" and economic innovation.The fourth part combines pop art theory research with the research results of house culture,the design strategies and methods of this creation are formulated,and the relevant work cases are analyzed to summarize the experience.The fifth part introduces the specific design practice process of color matching and graphic symbols in the creation,and shows and explains the relevant design results.This paper takes pop art as the theoretical guidance of this research and creation,applies the research and learning results of pop art to the creative expression of " otaku culture" theme poster design under the epidemic situation,and deeply explores the expression form of pop art in the poster works of public life theme,so as to reflect the combination of people’s life and art.Through this research and creation,it shows the development characteristics and thinking of otaku culture in the era of epidemic prevention and control,and uses pop’s emotional color and humorous visual symbols to convey positive and optimistic emotions during the epidemic period.
