The Historiography Of Baoding Local Chronicles In Ming & Qing Dynasties-Centering On Four Baoding Local Chronicles In Ming & Qing Dynasties

This research on historiography of traditional local chronicles,including four Baoding local chronicles of Ming and Qing Dynasty.It includes the following parts:the compilation process and personnel organization,compilation process and printing communication,style structure and compilation characteristics,historical data source and literature value,biography and narrative achievements.Comparing with the local chronicles compiled in other districts of Hebei Province at the same period,the author points out that these four local chronicles of Baoding in the Ming and Qing Dynasties are outstanding,whether it is reflected in the length of compilation time,the standard of participants,or in the integrity of the organization,as well as the division of personnel responsibilities.Therefore,it concludes that we should summarize the theoretical achievements of Baoding Local Records compilation in Ming and Qing Dynasties at present,which is of great significance to the compilation theory of traditional Chinese local records and the study of the regional history of North China;furthermore,it also provides valuable cases for the compilation of Contemporary Baoding local records.
