As one of the three elements of constructing teaching activities,Textbooks are the link between teachers and students,and the main support of teaching activities.The quality of teaching materials determines the effect of teaching and learning to a large extent.The paper selects the textbook Introduction to Chinese used by the Yothinburana School in Bangkok as the research object and uses the methods of data statistics,questionnaire survey and interview combined with the author’s teaching practice to investigate Introduction to Chinese from both the textbook itself and the subject of users.This paper analyzes the text of the textbook from five aspects: phonetics,vocabulary,grammar,text and exercises,even examines the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook from different angles.It is to investigate the specific performance of the textbook in the actual use process by issuing questionnaires to students and designing interviews with teachers to know the satisfaction of the textbook in the user group.Through the analysis of the textbook text and the investigation of the teachers and students,it is found that although Introduction to Chinese has some disadvantages,it is generally suitable for Chinese teaching in Thailand.Aiming at the disadvantages of the textbook,this paper combines text analysis,survey and interview results to propose targeted textbook compilation suggestions and use strategies.With the continuous development and expansion of Chinese language education in Thailand,the demand for textbooks has only increased.The paper analyzes the compilation and use of Introduction to Chinese that aims to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook and put forward feasible suggestions and methods.hoping to help the compilation and selection of Thai Chinese textbooks in the future.
