The “Innovation” pedagogy is based on cognitive education psychology,emphasizing the development of students’ ability to observe,discover,and absorb language independently.The “Innovation” pedagogy method applied to Chinese teaching can cultivate students’ creativity,turn students’ learning to a process of continuous creation which allows students to master and understand Chinese under the encouragement and guidance of teachers,improve students’ interest and efficiency in learning,and thus better improve students’ Chinese ability.In this practical research,the author mainly adopts the literature research method,data analysis method and so on,combined with the new teaching concept of the innovative method,new experimental data and new research angles.Take the Confucius Institute at Phuket Prince of Songkla University as an example,the author compares the teaching practice of “Innovation” pedagogy with the traditional teaching method.Through the teaching practices of two classes,the author initially explores the application of the “Innovation” pedagogy method in Chinese teaching for Thai students,and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages in order to enrich the research results of the “Innovation” pedagogy method and update the theory and practice of the teaching method of Chinese international education.The full text discusses from the following aspects: First,the author introduces the reasons for choosing the “Innovation” pedagogy method as the research content,the current research products of this method,as well as the innovation and significance of this study.Second,the author gives a detailed introduction of the general situation of this creative method,the current teaching situation of the Confucius Institute of Phuket,and the selection of teaching materials and teaching arrangements.Next,the author records the implementation of instructional design of class teaching under the guidance of the “Innovation” pedagogy method and the traditional teaching method respectively,and conducts a comparative analysis on the phased results of the “Innovation” pedagogy method and the traditional teaching method.Finally,the author summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of applying the “Innovation” pedagogy to Chinese teaching online.The author also reflects on the defects and limitation of this research,hoping to offer some new references for teachers who will employ this method in the future.
