With the development of society,the exchanges between countries are increasingly frequent and the competition increasingly fierce.The prosperity of a country cannot be separated from the cultivation of talents.As the main battlefield talent output,schools have received great attention.In special,basic education is particularly important.The establishment of English as a subject helps broaden students’ vision and improve their comprehensive competitiveness.The students’ English listening and speaking ability is the key point which cannot be ignored and must be paid attention.In order to make English learning as practical as possible.the textbook drama is a learning method that integrates language knowledge,language skills,learning strategies,emotional attitudes and cultural awareness in the classroom.In the process of preparing and performing the textbook drama,the students can transfer the knowledge points to listening and speaking flexibly,which also exercises the students’ communication and cooperation ability and improves their intercultural understanding ability.However,it is not easy to complete a textbook drama successfully.Script selection,actor arrangement and props preparation are all time-consuming,which can easily affect the teaching progress and academic performance.Based on premise of tight time,this study takes textbook drama as the teaching method,aiming to effectively improved the oral listening ability of primary school students and break the strange circle of dumb English.The author will combine English discipline characteristic,the pedagogy,the psychology knowledge to study with class,and combine to textbook drama in Wan Bailin district in Taiyuan elementary school students questionnaire and teacher interviews,the time period is a academic year.In the process of improving the oral listening of primary school students to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of textbook drama,and giving some remedial schemes in the conclusion part.
