A Study On Nabo Places Of Winter And Summer In The Liaojinyuan Dynasty

The system with ethnic characteristics created in the dynasties of Liao,Jin and Yuan,the important period governed by the ethnic minorities,exerts profound impacts on China’s politics,economy and culture.In the dynasty of Liao,the system called Sishinabo is both the political center and the place for the Liao emperor to spend the summer and go on safari to maintain the nomadic characteristics.Jin follows the system.It has little difference in the four seasons due to the economic growth in the dynasty of Jin,but it has distinct characteristic of Chunshanqiushui,which means to go hunting in the spring and to go on vacation in the autumn.Mongol Empire also follows the system: to find a suitable place to spend the winter and the summer.When the dynasty of Yuan is founded,it becomes a regular system and transforms into the system of royal tour to two capitals.The formation of the system of royal tour to two capitals is inseparably linked with the dynasties of Liao and Jin,especially the summer and winter camp in both of which.The winter camp,generally located near Dadu of the Yuan dynasty,is a warmer place.Besides,its location and political meaning are apparent.The summer camp is even more special.The place where the emperors of Liao,Jin and Yuan often visit is near Jinlianchuan,which is the location of Shangdu of the Yuan dynasty.Although its name is different in the dynasties,it is actually near the same area.It is of great significance to explore the Nabo system in the dynasties of Liao,Jin and Yuan from the perspective of Liangdu region,Dadu and Shangdu.For one thing,we can understand the historical position and political changes of the Shangdu and Dadu during the reign of ethnic minorities.For another,we will be aware of their impacts on the later generations.
