Zao Wou-ki’s Inspiration To My Painting Creation

Zao Wou-ki is a famous Chinese-American French painter.He merged China and the West,and explored an abstract road with his own style in the field of art,which was respected and praised by the world painting circles.Appreciating Zao Wou-ki’s works,the author felt unprecedented shock.He used oil painting materials,Chinese brush and ink,to create oil paintings with Chinese elements,euphemistic and exquisite,majestic and majestic.The main content of this thesis is to study Zao Wou-ki’s painting language and its inspiration to the author’s creation.First of all,this article will introduce Zao Wou-ki’s background and growth experience.Based on books and critics’ expositions on Zao Wou-ki’s works,this article will conduct research on the composition,color,brushstrokes,and the aesthetic conception contained in the works,and finally combine the author’s Creative practice,summarizing the learning of Zao Wou-ki’s painting language and the expression of his own artistic creation.The main problem to be solved in this article is to explore the aesthetic conception he pursues by studying the characteristics of Zao Wou-ki’s painting language,and to dig deeper into his color processing methods and unique composition methods.
