The Application Of The Poetic Mood Construction In My Oil Painting Work

Poetic mood is an artistic mood created by a poet while writing poetry.Poetic mood as a unique artistic realm is something that must be present in every poem.Poetic mood is fascinating,intoxicating and thought-provoking.It is not only present in poetry but also in oil painting.Oil painting works give us realistic feelings and at the same time expand our imagination,produce emotional sympathy.On the example of the paintings of Jean Baptiste Camille Corot we can appreciate the poetic mood and analyse its creation methods.For example,by admiring the painting “Recollection of Mortefontaine”,we can feel as if we walked into the wonderland with its green ad luxuriant trees,majestic trunks and lush leaves,almost as if gods themselves were blessing the village.Corot uses simple,sketch-like colours and exquisite strokes in his work in order to weaken viewer’s attention to the form of language and create a distant poetic mood instead.Thus,this will be applied in my creation-choosing main theme that is easy in creation of the poetic mood and studying formal language that is able to express this mood,as in “Hangzhou Umbrella Rhyme”series in which people open umbrellas like blooming lotus flowers in West Lake,and also by opening the space and enriching rhythmic and subtle colours’ contrast that create rich in poetic context and feelings image.
