| “Street Dance of China III” is a reality show,and it aims to spread culture of street dance through the pattern of "star tutors + professional dancers",which is widely accepted by the audience.The peculiar value and spirit behind the show not only build the connotation of street dance contemporary,but deepen the audience’s understanding and appreciation of it.Based on the theory of communication semiotics,the typical features of street dance symbols presented in the “Street Dance of China III” program are summarized to explore the characteristics of the street dance symbols and the profound connotation.It is committed to making audiences understand the value of street dance symbols deeply.Furthermore,this study explores the role of street dance communication symbols in current multicultural society.The official clips of 12 episodes of “Street Dance of China III” are selected as the research subject.By using the research methods of literature review,content analysis,and text analysis,this study puts much emphasis on typical street dance symbols in the works of “Street Dance of China III.” The research content is organized and displayed based on the research subject logic of communication semiotics.The study analyzes the communication symbols of street dance from five aspects: the communication subject,the communication text,the communication medium,the communication code,and the meaning of communication,Among which the communication text and the communication code are the core parts.It has found that symbol senders root the artistic and spiritual connotations of street dance in the communication code and express the cultural value of street dance through the communication text formed by the communication code.By analyzing the communication text of street dance codes,the connotation of street dance communication symbols can be interpreted better and play the practical value.Symbol receivers express their attitudes and opinions in decoding.An immersive experience will be got in the process of enjoying the program.The symbol receivers get the communication significance of street dance symbols actively.Symbol senders and receivers promote the innovative development for the communication symbols of street dance.From the study of communication symbols in the program,some problems are found.For example,the communication subject has cognitive deviations and the receiver’s stereotypes constrain the street dance symbols;the communication text symbols are unbalanced and the street dance works lack cultural resonance;the communication media rituals are complicated and the connotation of the special symbols of street dance is unable to be fully highlighted;the communication code loses its context,the efficiency of symbol communication is low;the communication symbols of street dance have excessive entertainment and the cultural identity of street dance has weakened.Based on the above analysis,the study points out some development strategies for street dance symbol communication.That is,the symbol sender need set up common meaning to strengthen user stickiness and satisfy the curiosity of symbol receivers.Next,the creator need innovate street dance communication text to give strategies for the spread of Chinese street dance culture in the world.Moreover,the dancer need create typical street dance communication symbols to play the IP effect of street dance.Meanwhile,the symbol sender needs to create a communication context to use communication codes flexibly,and the major communicators need depend on the artistic value of street dance to promote the long-term development of street dance culture. |
