| On December 7,2020,the International Olympic Committee announced that street dance has officially become an Olympic sport,and this dance sport with young,trendy and personalized characteristics has started to enter a new stage.The majority of street dancers in China come from colleges and universities,and more and more colleges and universities are opening up street dance elective courses and even street dance majors to meet the needs of college students.With the introduction of street dance into the Olympic Games and the increase in the number of college students participating,more scholars have begun to study street dance culture and training,but street dance choreography,a crucial part of street dance development,has rarely been studied.In this paper,we use literature,expert interview,video analysis,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis to study the characteristics of choreography of the small set in the college group of the 2021 HHI Street Dance Championships,and summarize the characteristics of the small set in the college group by combining the official scoring standards and video recordings.This study provides a theoretical basis for Chinese college dancers to improve their choreography.The conclusions of the study are.(1)Theme and creativity: the choreography is mainly purely unison dance,a few have obvious theme;there are more creativity in formation and movement,but less in music;most teams use creative elements of scenario interpretation,and all of them are at the beginning or the end;the top ranking teams have more creative points.(2)Stage use: the use of the stage plane space shows the characteristics of concentration,symmetry,strong in the front and weak in the back,that is,the use of the stage is concentrated in the middle of the "C position",with the median line as the axis of equal use of the left and right,and the front field is used more than the back field;on the stage three-dimensional space,fourteen teams mostly use once the spatial level of transformation,for The two types of standing-ground(B-A)and ground-standing(A-B)are more frequently used by the fourteen teams.(3)Formation design: The fourteen teams mostly use fixed formation,and less use flowing formation;for the total number of formation,the average value of the total number of formation of the fourteen teams is 16 times,which is more reasonable;there are more triangle,circle,rectangle and V-shaped formation in the repeated formation.(4)Expressiveness: most of the team members can show confident expressions during the performance,and the more expressive the team is,the higher the ranking is,some teams are not expressive enough.(5)Costume matching: Fourteen teams mainly wore T-shirts,vests and shirts,sweatpants and casual pants,sneakers or board shoes,one team did not have a uniform shoe style,only three teams used other accessories,and the use of accessories was low;the overall color of the costume was black and white,and other colors were used less;the overall style was hip-hop style and jazz style.The overall style is mainly hip-hop style and jazz style,which is in line with the dressing style in street dance.(6)Music selection and processing: the average number of music passages is 5,and the teams with more passages are ranked high;the average number of special sound effects of the14 teams is 3,and there are fewer special sound effects added and processed;the average number of BPM is 94,and the speed of music is reasonable;the average length of each passage in the music of the 14 teams is 36.5 seconds,and the average length of music passages between teams differs greatly.The music types cover a wide range,mainly electronic music and hip-hop,and only one team added the music style of national characteristics.(7)The design of action content: scattered and concentrated types are commonly used in the choreography of college group,and the utilization rate of concentrated and scattered types is low;the choreography mostly ends the whole dance by forming horizontal rows,and the creativity is not very strong;only some teams choreograph the beginning and end according to the theme or the style of the dance;the number of matching actions and contrasting actions are almost equal in the three special actions,and the number of difficult skill actions is on the high side.The number of matching movements and contrasting movements are almost equal,and the number of difficult skill movements is low.(8)Dance style: Hiphop is the most used element of street dance style by 14 teams,Popping and Breaking are the least used elements of street dance style by 14 teams;the most teams use three dance style elements.In response to the conclusions drawn,the following suggestions were made.(1)A theme should be established before the choreography,so that the work can be choreographed and more creative points can be added,especially for the music editing and production.(2)The choreography should make even use of the stage space,increase the use of the backstage position,and increase the three-dimensional space of high,medium and low level conversion to increase the three-dimensional sense of the set movement choreography.(3)choreography in the use of some small-scale changes in the flow of formation,in order to increase the visual sense of flow;according to the actual situation of about 2 minutes of small dance should be choreographed 15-20 times more reasonable formation;should increase the choreography of asymmetric graphics.(4)the choreography of the dance texture,expression will affect the overall aura,and then affect the strength of expression,so in the process of choreography to strengthen the expression of the players management,in the special sound effects can be shouted or exaggerated expression to strengthen the expression,and then improve the performance.(5)The choreography should use more other accessories to fit the theme and style,strengthen the unity of shoe style to enhance the visual neatness,and try to use more colors other than black and white to match.(6)The choreography should strengthen the addition and use of special sound effects to music,and through different styles of music to transform the music passages in the choreography,should be more innovative to add the music of the national characteristics in the choreography.(7)Choreography according to the theme elements and dance style to the beginning and end of the arrangement can make the work more complete;should strengthen the arrangement of the difficult skill movements,and to ensure that in the use of matching movements,contrasting movements,difficult skill movements do not make mistakes.(8)Choosing a dance style that is suitable for the team members and improving the quality of the completed movements is the basis for good performance,strengthening the training of basic dance skills and practicing other dance styles. |
