Research On The Digital Inheritance Of The Folklore The Legend Of The White Snake

The Legend of the White Snake is one of the four most famous folk tales in the Han region of China,and it was enrolled in the first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage list.With the continuous innovation of information technology,traditional stories can move towards interactive narrative,enabling users to actively participate in the narrative process.Participatory design is a design method of Co-creation,which can make users get better emotional experience.Therefore,it’s easier to create a perfect user experience and a wider cultural inheritance effect by combining participatory design with interactive narrative.This paper takes The Legend of the White Snake as the main object of study,combines landscape narrative theory and local cultural development of Zhenjiang City.Taking Tourist Groups as the main target users,based on participatory design and interactive narrative theory,explores the feasible path and form of digital inheritance of the folklore The Legend of the White Snake.The research content mainly includes the following parts:First of all,the academic history of the folklore heritage of The Legend of the White Snake and the theoretical basis of related research are combed.The part summarizes the origin and development of The Legend of the White Snake as well as the current status of its preservation and inheritance in modern times,introduces the conceptual features of digital inheritance and protection and the core concept of participatory design method,which provides a certain methodological and theoretical basis for subsequent research.Then,a participatory study was conducted on the digital inheritance of The Legend of the White Snake.Through the feasibility analysis of the participatory digital passing on culture inheritance,the part determines the form and content of the digital heritage and the participation links of relevant users.Based on the participatory design,the IP images of the main characters of the legend were obtained.And the concepts of interactive narrative and landscape narrative are introduced.In addition,the organic combination of them was discussed to determine the research route.After that,through the exploratory study of the "The Flooding of Jinshan Temple" episode of The Legend of the White Snake,the author came up with a strategy for digital transmission and inheritance of The Legend of the White Snake by combining the local cultural characteristics of the story in Zhenjiang.That is,developing an AR interactive narrative game that combines the local landscape.Finally,through the design analysis of the output practice "The Legend of the White Snake-The Flooding of Jinshan Temple",a set of design practice methods for AR interactive narrative games with practical application value is summarized,and some core technical route of the interactive plot is provided for other researchers’ reference.This paper applies the concept of participatory design to the digital inheritance of The Legend of the White Snake,using a combination of interactive narrative and landscape narrative transmission.And the research methods and processes used have certain reference significance for the digital transmission and Inheritance development of other similar folk literature and the design of AR interactive narrative games.The results of the digitization practice are innovative in itself,broadening the scope of combining game design aspects with landscape narrative communication,and having innovative significance for the cultural transmission of The Legend of the White Snake.
