| Mikio Naruse is one of the four great masters of Japanese film directors with the names of Yasujiro Ozu,Akira Kurosawa and Kenji Mizoguchi.In his thirty-seven years of directing career,he produced eighty-nine films,most of which focused on marginal women.The director deeply analyzed their living conditions,psychological states,and the resistance and compromise imposed on their roles by society.Through the construction of space,Mikio Naruse’s film narrative is more tension,showing the protagonist’s passivity and restraint,so that the emotional undercurrent in his works has been greatly sublimated.This thesis is based on the theory of spatial narrative and films of the 1950 s and later,aiming at studying how to promote the narrative development through the construction of space and further reveal the film aesthetics and historical significance.The full text is divided into five parts.The first part is the research situation and the definition of relevant theories,mainly combs the space theory,the spatial narrative theory,the feminism,the female and the space relations,discusses the movie space narration related concept and the significance.The second part is the film creation of Mikio Naruse.The director’s experience,film creation and film style are introduced respectively.The third part is the spatial narrative type of Mikio Naruse’s film from the perspective of feminism.The narration of the director’s works is divided into three types:private space narrative,indoor space narrative and outdoor space narrative.The fourth part is the spatial narrative strategy of Mikio Naruse’s film from the perspective of feminism.Analyzes in detail the realistic style and poetic style of Mikio Naruse’s films through spatial narrative from three aspects: the ground-level space narrative,the poetic space narrative and the documentary space narrative.The fifth part is the audio-visual language analysis of the spatial narrative of Mikio Naruse’s films from the perspective of feminism.It is divided into three parts: image expression of spatial narrative,lens application of spatial narrative and music expression of spatial narrative.Through the analysis of audiovisual language,the spatial narrative performance of his works and the aesthetic significance of the film are further explained. |
