With the rise of spatial narrative theory in the field of humanities and social sciences,researchers have gradually focused on the spatial narrative of film text.Chongqing,with the unique geographical environment and cultural deposits,has attracted more and more directors’ attention.The artistic charm of Chongqing films lies in the directors’ grasp and application of narrative space.To be specific,the spatial narration of Chongqing films is to guide the actors to choose,process and create this narrative space in Chongqing,and then take Chongqing’s narrative space as an important means to promote the narrative process and narrative expression,and finally create artistic works with strong spatial narrative attributes.Chongqing film space narrative contains very rich content,this paper mainly focuses on Chongqing narrative space,this is because the narrative construction and expression of Chongqing narrative space narrative is not only an important part of Chongqing film space narrative,but also the important value and significance of Chongqing film.In traditional narratology research,researchers often pay attention to the study of time,but ignore the role of space in narrative.As an art combining time and space,film is born with its spatial consciousness and spatial characteristics.The rise of the fifth generation of directors has broken the traditional concept of film and television space and made bold exploration and practice of the expression of space in the film,thus opening a new dimension of domestic film space narrative.The sixth generation of directors turned to urban space,and they paid more attention to the role of spatial elements in film narrative.As the most representative city in the process of urbanization in China,Chongqing’s unique spatial structure and distinctive social contradictions become the source of inspiration for the director’s creation.To analyze and explore Chongqing films from the dimension of spatial narrative can make us better appreciate the cultural connotation and aesthetic implication of Chongqing films.This paper mainly focuses on the cultural connotation and ideographic function of Chongqing film narrative space,which cannot be separated from the strong support of spatial narrative types and spatial narrative images.Whether space narrative types in the region space,social space and cultural space,or space narrative imagery portraits of the natural image,social image and the characters,they are all in Chongqing narrative space of this particular space field inoculation,they together construct the narrative space of Chongqing and the expression of the signifier and the signified.Of course,in order to fully embody this kind of narration and expression,some spatial narrative skills are needed,which are not only reflected in the narrative content level of Chongqing film text,but also reflected in the use of lens,color and sound in the image ontology level.In short,the manifestation of spatial narrative types,the setting of spatial images and the unique application of spatial narrative skills of Chongqing films make the narrative space of Chongqing films present unique cultural implication and aesthetic charm,which is also an important factor that distinguishes Chongqing films as a regional film type from other regional films.Exploring the image narrative strategy and cultural connotation of Chongqing since the new century can provide a unique perspective for us to interpret the interactive relationship between space and film,and also has important practical significance for the construction and dissemination of Chongqing’s regional culture. |
