Study On The Art Characteristics Of Hayao Miyazaki Animated Film

Hayao Miyazaki is a world’s animation master.The 11 films he animated are deeply popular with audiences and have hit many box office highs in Japanese films.For example,such as A Voyage of Chihiro,released in 2001,earned more than 30.4billion yuan.A Voyage of Chihirotopped the Japanese historical box office list until the release of Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train in December 2020.Hayao Miyazaki animated film feature its unique cinematic art features.The study of the artistic characteristics of Hayao Miyazaki animated film has a certain social value and academic value.This paper explains the significance of the art in Hayao Miyazaki.In addition,the artistic characteristics of Hayao Miyazaki animated film are studied from the three parts:the modeling style,color application characteristics and lens language characteristics.This paper first analyzes the modeling style of Hayao Miyazaki animated film from the two aspects of space modeling and character modeling.The spatial styling of Hayao Miyazaki animated film includes defamiliarized Europe and idealized Europe.Hayao Miyazaki has created an idealized Europe in animated films through overlapping space,reconstruction space,and the use of clever and fine micro-poetics,and through the triple space construction of physical space,psychological space and divine space.The characters in Hayao Miyazaki animated film are typed,which can be basically divided into four categories: children,teenagers,adult,and the shape of the gods.Children’s modeling design overall tend to tender lovely style,teenagers modeling design overall tends to slim clever style,adult modeling design is given priority to with realistic,part of the adult role of alienation,the body of the gods is divided into realistic animal shape as the prototype and comprehensive animal shape and human shape characteristics of two categories.Secondly,we study the characteristics of Hayao Miyazaki animated film in colors,and analyzed the three aspects of natural colors,clothing colors and unique aircraft colors of Hayao Miyazaki’s personal style.The typical natural colors in Hayao Miyazaki animated film are blue and green,laying down the natural and fresh aesthetic style of Hayao Miyazaki animated film.The costume color in Hayao Miyazaki animated film is regular.The costume color of the same character is distinct between primary and secondary,and cold and cold,most of the time the costume colors of the characters are three or below.The clothing color in Hayao Miyazaki animated film has typed characteristics,according to the type of time and space of the characters,the gender,age,position and other factors of the characters and different clothing color design.The typical aircraft colors in Hayao Miyazaki animated film are white,red,and color,and the aircraft color has its metaphorical meanings in the film with different themes.Finally,this paper discusses the lens language characteristics of Hayao Miyazaki animated film,focusing on the characteristics of its subjective and objective lens crossover,the three perspectives of the vertical direction,and the flexible lens motion methods of push,pulling,shaking and moving.
