A Report On Interpreting CNBC Interview Remaking Of Global Finance

This report represents an interpretation practice report with the material from one of the CNBC(Consumer News and Business Channel)interviews titled Remaking of Global Finance,which mainly focuses on analyzing global economic situations at present and forecasting the global finance in the future,thus providing guidance for consecutive interpretation practice of economic interviews.This report is divided into four chapters.Chapter One is the task description about introducing the background knowledge of interpretation materials,analyzing the task and putting forward the objectives and significance of this report.Chapter Two is the process description,which includes pre-interpretation process with the preparation of relevant background knowledge,economic terms and the interpretive theory,and interpreting process in which the author describes the interpreting process and analyzes the major hurdles during the practice,as well as the post-interpretation reflection by finishing the practice.Chapter Three is the case analysis under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory.In this part,the coping strategies of interpreting containing omission,amplification and syntactic restructuring will be introduced and Chapter Four concludes the lessons learned from this practice.This interpretation practice has enlightened the importance of interpretation theory in guiding the practice and has reflected the defects in the interpreting process.Therefore,the author has come to realize that only by applying interpreting theories and relevant skills to practice,can one be more proficient in interpreting.In addition,this report is expected to offer assistance for the consecutive interpreting of economic interviews in the future.
