Quality of rural life(QRL)is an important indicator reflecting the level of rural economic development, which is directly related to the vital interests of rural residents and the well-being of the people. With the introduction of the national rural revitalization strategy and major achievements in poverty alleviation nationwide, the living standards of rural residents have continued to improve, and people have begun to pursue a higher quality of life. How to clarify the spatial distribution characteristics of rural life quality and analyze the influencing factors of rural life quality through the evaluation of rural life quality is an important content of current rural life quality research, and it is also important to the formulation of policies for rural revitalization and development in Gansu Province in the future. This paper selects 87 counties(districts)in Gansu Province as the study area, and is supported by the socio-economic statistics of Gansu Province in 2018.First,by constructing a rural life quality index evaluation model, the Weighted summation is used to evaluate rural life in 87 evaluation units in Gansu Province. The quality level is measured;secondly, the spatial autocorrelation is used to analyze the spatial differentiation characteristics and spatial agglomeration characteristics of the rural life quality;finally, the influencing factors of the rural life quality in the counties of Gansu Province are explored through geographic detectors. The main conclusions of this study through the above analysis are as follows:(1)The spatial distribution of QRL in Gansu Province has obvious regional differences.Economic income and expenditure, living conditions and cultural living standards, infrastructure levels, and public services and social security levels have a clear overall spatial differentiation pattern of high in northwest and low in southeast. There is no obvious spatial difference in the level of ecological environment.Low and low-level areas are the main areas. The overall quality of life in rural areas is not high.Evaluation units distributed in low-quality-of-life areas account for 31.03% of all evaluation units.Evaluation units distributed in high-quality-of-life areas are the least, accounting for all 12.64% of the evaluation units, the proportions of evaluation units distributed in low, high and medium quality of life areas were 21.84%,19.54%and 14.94%,showing a spatial distribution trend of gradually decreasing from northwest to southeast.(2)The quality of rural life in Gansu Province shows obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics.Global spatial autocorrelation analysis shows that the quality of life in rural Gansu Province has a very significant spatial autocorrelation on the county scale. There are mutual influences between neighboring counties.Counties with high rural life quality are adjacent to each other, and counties with low rural life quality are also adjacent to each other.Local spatial autocorrelation analysis shows that the quality of life in rural Gansu Province presents obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics. The H-H agglomeration area is mainly distributed in the central and western regions of the Hexi Corridor, the H-L agglomeration area has only one evaluation unit in the south, and the L-L agglomeration area is mainly distributed in the southern part of the province, and is distributed in contiguous areas.(3)There are 7 indicators that have a greater impact on the quality of life in rural Gansu Province. This paper selects 15 indicators from both natural and economic aspects to analyze the influencing factors of the spatial differentiation of rural life quality in Gansu Province, and the main influencing factors of QRL include precipitation, slope, rate of rural construction land, distance from provincial capital city, total power of agricultural machinery, proportion of GDP of primary industry and total rural population.(4)There are significant spatial differences in the main influencing factors and in the intensity of their effects on the QRL in each evaluation unit. The number of evaluation units that affect the quality of life in rural areas is the main control type of economic factors, reaching 38,accounting for 43.68%;the number of evaluation units of the comprehensive factor traction type and the main control type of natural factors are 20 and 19 respectively;they are comprehensive factors the number of restricted evaluation units is the least, only 10,accounting for 11.49%.The central, eastern and southern areas of Gansu are dominated by human factors, the Hexi Corridors dominated by natural factors, and the southeast of Gansu is dominated by human factors and pulled by comprehensive factors.
