Structural Reconstruction Of English Complex Sentences In English-Chinese Translation Of The Economic Text

Neoliberalism is a very important school in western economy and plays an important role.The rise and development of Neoliberalism school has brought great and unimaginable influence to the world.In order to understand the monopoly capital,the North-South relationship and the globalization of the world today,the in-depth discussion and research must be made on the theory and policy of the Neoliberalism.The translation text of this paper is Nine Lives of Neoliberalism,a book about Neoliberalism economics,which involves a large number of scholars of the Neoliberalism school and their theories.These scholars and their theories all have a significant and far-reaching impact on the global economy.The selected text for this translation report belongs to economic type.The author extracts some chapters for translation,and finds that there are a lot of complex sentence structures.In the process of translation,if the original sentence structure of complex sentence is caught in the practice,it will be against the Chinese content expression habit of emphasizing parataxis and the internal logic of progressive layers.And it will cause the phenomenon of miscellaneous sentence structure and asymmetric information.This paper aims at the problem of complex sentences in translation,and the author tries to break its original structure and follow the Chinese thinking logic and writing habits.Based on these,the author sorts out the sentence patterns and classifies them into three problems: sentences with complex structure,sentences with various modifiers and sentences with various segmenting structures.This paper provides corresponding solutions to these problems.The reconstruction method of dividing the sense group and the reconstruction method of translating the sentence with various translation principles are used to solve the sentences with complex structure.The reconstruction method of recombining the logical relation of sentences and the reconstruction method of cutting the sentence components are used to solve the sentences with various modifiers.The reconstruction method of restoring the subject and predicate of the sentence and the reconstruction method of translating the sentence in the reverse order are used to solve the sentences with various segmenting structures.It is hoped that the translation strategies mentioned in this paper can provide some references for future translation practice in related fields.
