| Yang Renpian is a historian who has made academic achievements in the 20th century,but is not well-known today.He devoted his life to the teaching and scientific research of world history,who is an expert in the history of French revolution and a pioneer in the history of Africa in China.This article mainly relies on the writings and translation of Yang Renpian,referring to relevant newspapers and magazines,to explore his historical achievements,characteristics and influence.This paper focuses on the interaction of academic thought and time background,trying to use the dynamic development of Yang human literary historiography and compare with textbooks written by others in the same period,and trying to explore the spiritual course and family feelings of the Republic intellectuals represented by him.The main body of this article consists of four parts: Chapter One: Introduction,which comments on the pioneering achievements of Yang Renpian,explains the academic significance of studying Yang Renpian,and puts forward the goals and methods of research on his historiography.Two: Academics and Biographies,sorting out Yang Renpian life and academic activities.Chapter Three: "Foreign History Research":Investigating the characteristics of Yang Renpian’s world history research from the two fields of French revolution history and African history.In his early days,he focused on French revolution history,including three aspects: translation,writing,and data sorting.In his later years,he turned to the study of African history and compiled China’s first book on African history-"A Compendium of African-"Compendium of the Outline of African History".Chapter Four: Chinese and foreign history textbooks,discussing the foreign history textbook and the national history textbook separately,comparing with the textbooks compiled by other scholars in the same period,and analyzing the era characteristics and practical significance of the textbooks compiled by them. |
