| Some people had carried out experimental studies on learning English grammar rules and Chinese grammar rules by using learning worked examples,and obtained valuable results.However,there was no study on the grammatical rules of English tenses.English tense grammar rules were common English grammar rules,but also one of the important content of junior middle school English teaching.The teaching of English tense grammar in junior middle school generally adopted the classroom teaching method in which teachers made a summary according to the example sentences.This method was not conducive to cultivating students’ inductive reasoning ability and autonomous learning ability.By learning worked examples on grammatical rules the existing research and its enlightenments to the design method of the sample,we developed the new and old sample pairs of learning from worked examples methods of English tense grammatical rules,through two experimental studies of respectively investigated the students from Grade One English past grammatical rules example learning effect and the students from Grade Two pluperfect learning from worked examples on grammatical rules.Experiment 1We took the students who had finished present indefinite tense as the participants,the design had no tags,tags and dynamic present three general now with past example pairwise sample learning materials and past grammar rules text reading materials,examined the participants,learnt three learning from worked examples and reading materials.Experiment 2 We took students who had completed present perfect tense as the participants,the design had no tags,tags and dynamic present three examples when completed with the past-now pairs sample study materials and present perfect tense text reading materials,examined the participants,learnt three learning from worked examples and reading materials.The results showed that :(1)Students from Grade One could learn to generalize and apply the grammar rules of general past tense by learning the pairwise combination of simple present tense and general past tense of regular verbs;The effect of the three kinds of learning worked examples was significantly better than that of reading the text materials of the past tense grammatical rules.(2)Students from Grade Two could learn to generalize and apply past perfect grammar rules by learning the pairwise combination of present perfect tense and past perfect sentences of regular verbs.There was no significant difference between the learning effect of the three kinds of examples and the learning effect of reading the text materials of past perfect grammar rules.The conclusion was that junior middle school students could effectively learn to generalize and apply the grammar rules of the new tense through the example study of the pairwise combination of old and new tense sentences... |
