In order to further examine the different oriented of worked examples (process-oriented and product-oriented worked examples) of learning efficiency and transfer effect to students of middle school. The same base power of multiplication and division operations as the experimental materials are designed for’the process-oriented" and "product-oriented" worked examples. Participants are seven-year students. Performance, mental effort degree and time of learning are investigated effects of learning efficiency and transfer effect of process-oriented and product-oriented worked examples. The results of the experiment showed:(1) For novice, process-oriented worked examples are significantly higher product-oriented worked examples in efficiency test.(2) For those who understood operation rules, product-oriented worked examples are significantly higher process-oriented worked examples in efficiency test, However, no significant difference in performance test of transfer. Those showed that it has significant effect to efficiency of learning if we provide different oriented of worked example in different stages have.
