| Culture is the inner soul and spiritual pillar of a country and a nation. With the continuous development of social economy, the cultural industry is growing, and cultural soft power has gradually become an important branch and component of measuring a country’s comprehensive strength.Economic globalization makes the world trade of cultural products an important part of international trade, which has a profound impact on the whole world trade pattern. The development of cultural trade not only means the improvement of the competitiveness of a country’s foreign trade, but also represents the enhancement of the international communication power and influence of a country’s local culture. In view of this, this paper, based on global cultural trade data, uses network analysis software and complex network analysis method to explore the temporal and spatial evolution and network structure characteristics of global cultural trade network in important time nodes from 2000 to 2018.The findings are as follows: First, since 2000,influenced by the 2008 financial crisis, the scale of global cultural trade has shown a fluctuating growth trend, and the overall development trend is good. The total cultural trade volume of the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany has always been the top three, while the total cultural trade volume of China has increased significantly, and the top cultural trade volume among countries is mainly Europe and the United States.Second, the density of global cultural trade network is relatively high on the whole, and the trend of denseness is significant.Compared with 2000,the network density increased by 57.03% in 2018.The cultural trade between countries is close, the network development is small cosmopolitan and scale-free,and the polarization is obvious.Third, the three centrality statistical characteristics of the global cultural trade network have significant spatial differentiation, the important node countries have changed in the stability, and there are differences between the countries at the core of the network and the countries with strong intermediary capacity.Fourthly, the core-periphery structure of the global cultural trade network is obvious. The countries in the core position are mainly European and American countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom and East Asian countries such as China and Japan. The number of countries on the periphery of the network is decreasing, and the whole cultural trade network is more closely connected.Fifthly, the global cultural trade network community division is significant, there is the time of integration and fragmentation of the evolution of the characteristics of continuity and fragmentation of the characteristics of space. In addition, this paper uses the QAP method to explore the influencing factors of the global cultural trade network by selecting eight variables, including GDP,land area, geographical distance, land borders, population, common language, colonial relationship and the proportion of households with Internet. The results show that four variables,GDP,land borders, common language and colonial relationship, have positive effects on the development of cultural trade.Geographical distance has a negative effect on the establishment of cultural trade links; The effect of population size and land area on cultural trade is not significant.Families with Internet account for comparing the influence of cultural trade has a negative correlation, this may be because the Internet spillover effects of cultural trade has yet to reach a certain threshold value, including QAP regression analysis shows that the variable presented by was not significant in statistical sense to significant change, suggests that the Internet’s impact on cultural trade is growing. |
