In the Edo era,Nagasaki not only played a role as a "window" for Japan to communicate with the world,but also a concentration of foreign cultures in Japan.The multi-cultural gathering and civilization wrestling also made Nagasaki have a unique performance which is different from Tokyo and Kyoto.The study tour of Nagasaki in Edo era is a research on the change of Edo Japan’s attitude towards foreign culture,the change of national view and the change of international pattern.This paper divides the study tour of Nagasaki in Edo era into three stages according to the characteristics of each period."The prelude of study tour" : the eighth year of Keityou period(1603)—the fifth year of Seitoku period(1715);" The common practice of study tour" : the first year of Kyouhou period(1716)—the 15 th year of Kannsei period(1803)";" The high tide of study tour”: the year of Bunnka and Bunnsei period——the period of Bakumatsu.It also combs the complete study tour history of Nagasaki in Edo era.On the discussion of the significance of the study tour of Nagasaki in Edo era,the author holds that the study tour of Nagasaki should not expand the value evaluation of the study tour of Nagasaki indefinitely,but should not blindly hold a negative attitude.The multi-cultural struggle takes Edo Nagasaki as the stage,and the study tour in Nagasaki and the several "turns" accompanying the study tour activities are the choices made by Edo Japan for foreign civilization. |
