As national investment has been continuously given to the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port,zero tariff free trade will contribute to Hainan being a shopping paradise and bring inexhaustible vitality to Hainan’s tourism industry.As required by Hainan ecological protection,the development of tourism industry acts in strict compliance with the national positioning of Hainan.Tourism brochure stands for an essential carrier for the promotion of tourist attractions,a contracted display of natural landscape and culture,history and culture of scenic spots,as well as a guide for tourists to know the tourism information and to pay visit there.In the wake of on-the-spot visits and investigations in many a scenic spot,the tourism promotion materials offered by a portfolio of scenic spots in Hainan are relatively featuring outdated design style and simple techniques of expression,mostly short of artistry with single combination between landscape photography pictures and text.Tourists fail to enjoy a sense of immersion by such plain introduction on the natural landscape and cultural history of the scenic spots.In this research,we have extracted Hainan scenic spots,surrounding accommodation,food and other elements for creation,through the use of characteristics of strong expressiveness,rich and diversified forms,and universally accepted and loved by the public.At the same time,in the shoes of tourists,we,adherent to the “people-oriented”design principle,apply illustration to the design of “Hainan on Paper” Tourism Manual,which gives certain artistry and interactivity on the Manual.Meanwhile,various derivative carriers have been utilized to show tourists the scenic spots and surrounding areas in an all-round way,so that tourists will gain a more intuitive and effective understanding on the history,culture,local conditions and customs of Hainan.This is how tourists to be attracted emotionally and psychologically and to generate voluntary consumption.We can make further promotion of the harmonious tourism and development of Hainan and find an effective way to promote an international tourism image of Hainan.
