The literature symbols carried by the Nobel Prize in Literature and the news reports of the Nobel Prize in Literature by the media are the typical epitome of literature communication.This paper selects Guangming Daily and The Times as the research objects,takes the reports of the Nobel Prize in Literature of the two newspapers in the past ten years(2011-2020)as samples,and from the perspective of frame theory,carries out frame analysis on the reports of the two newspapers at three levels: high,medium and low,and compares how the two newspapers present this prize.And analyze the causes of frame differences from three aspects: social culture,internal media and individual cognition.It is found that there are some similarities between the two newspapers’ reports on the Nobel Prize in Literature.The general framework of the Nobel Prize in Literature reported by Guangming Daily and The Times is the factual framework.The Nobel Prize in Literature reported by the two newspapers is more event than value,more entertainment than literature.But what is more obvious is that the two newspapers have constructed different reporting frames.Guangming Daily has constructed a peaceful,serious and propaganda frame,which is devoted to guiding the public to pay attention to the development of Chinese literature and enhancing cultural confidence.The Times constructs a framework of facts,balance and conflict,using in-depth reporting to reinforce certain points.The Nobel Prize for literature is literature through the media and the public to contact way of the most direct,most frequently,the media reports of the Nobel Prize for literature issues should not only explain reality,helping the public to understand the Nobel Prize for literature,also should explain meaning deep,guide the audience reach awards the meaning behind the space,insisted on the fact and value in the process of constructing a reasonable framework. |
