A Study On The Translation Of Idioms In 《Journey To The West》

China has a profound historical culture and splendid social background,"Idioms" is the essence of language,is the most important part of Chinese,contains a unique language structure and rich cultural connotation "Idiom" is widely spread among the people,the use rate is very high in daily life,contains rich meaning,vivid meaning,has a very rich expressive force and expression effect.It plays an important role in the vocabulary system of every language.《Journey to the west》 is one of the four masterpieces in China.Its words are ingenious and rich in the cultural connotation of the Chinese nation,in which a large number of idioms are used.The process of translation practice poses a great challenge to the translator’s translation level.The translator should flexibly use translation methods and techniques,choose appropriate words,and conform to the Uyghur expression habits,Therefore,the translation of idioms in《Journey to the west》 is of great research value.Through literature review,the author finds that there are few articles on the translation of idioms in《Journey to the west》,most of them are English translations,and few of them are Uyghur translations.Therefore,it is necessary to study the translation of idioms in《Journey to the west》.This paper mainly studies the Uyghur translation of idioms in《Journey to the west》based on Wu Chengen’s《Journey to the west》 and his Uyghur translation.The full text is divided into three parts,a total of five chapters.The first part is the research summary,the second part is the text,and the third part is the conclusion.The main contents of this paper are as followsThe first chapter: the main content is to discuss the definition,characteristics,classification,similarities and differences of Chinese and Uyghur idioms by giving examples of idioms in《Journey to the west》.The second chapter: the main content is to count the classification of idioms in《Journey to the west》,and elaborate idioms and classification,proverbs,proverbs and classification,idioms and classification,allegorical sayings and classification.Chapter three: the main content is the translation strategy of idioms in《Journey to the west》,the translation principles,translation methods and translation problems.Chapter four: conclusion.
