| The preface to Wen Xuan·Hunting Fu,Li Shan’s notes and old notes both have three different cases, and in each case the text corresponds to the title of the article. The preface to Yang Xiong’s Feather Hunting Fu and Chang Yang Fu are both taken from historical texts, while Li Shan’s notes are based on Yan Shigu’s on the 57 th Edition of the Han Book of Yang Xiong;Sima Xiangru’s Zi Xu and Shang Lin have no preface, and the Wen Xuan does not "take historical texts as a preface".The two fusions were added to the old commentaries collected by Guo Pu and included in both the Records of the Grand Historian, the Han Book, and the Selected Works;Pan Yue’s Pheasant Shooting has a preface that was not taken by Prince Zhao Ming.Xu Yuan’s notes on Pan Yue’s Pheasant Shooting Fu,on the other hand, has been circulated as a result of its inclusion in the Wen Xuan. The author further discusses and reveals the reasons for the five prefaces on the basis of previous research findings;he then examines the old notes and Li Shan’s notes from a comparative perspective, and summarizes the characteristics of Guo Pu’s,Xu Yuan’s,Yan Shigu’s and Li Shan’s notes in relation to the text.Chapter 1: The prefaces to the five-Fu texts in the Wen Xuan·Hunting Fu are different. The prefaces to Yang Xiong’s Feather Hunting Fu and Chang Yang Fu are derived from Han Book·Yang Xiong Biography, they are both extracted from historical texts. The fact that Prince Zhao Ming took the relevant text from The Book of Han Book·Yang Xiong Biography for the preface to the Fu of the Feather Hunting and the preface to the Chang Yang Fu,but not the relevant text from the Han Book·Sima Xiangru Biography for the preface to the Sima Xiangru,is probably related to the "division" of the Zi Xu Fu and the Shang Lin Fu.Pan Yue’s Pheasant Shooting Fu has a preface which Xiao Tong does not use,and the text quoted by Li Shan is an abridged version, while Lü Yanji’s inscription is a blend of Li Shan’s abridged Preface to the Pheasant Hunting Fu and Xu Yuan’s notes.Chapter 2: The characteristics of Li Shan’s notes and Guo Pu’s notes on the Zi Xu Fu and Shang Lin Fu.In these two Fus,Li Shan’s notes and Guo Pu’s notes are similar in form in terms of word exegesis, and Li Shan has adopted the old notes collected by Guo Pu.However,a further comparison of Li Shan’s notes with the same parts of the Han Book and The Hsitory shows how Li Shan’s old notes were traded off due to the different nature of the "Wen Ji" and "Shi Ji" collections, and how Li Shan’s supplementary notes, based on the differences between the old notes, show a different style.Chapter 3: A comparison of Li Shan’s notes and Xu Yuan’s notes on The Pheasant Shooting Fu.First,it examines the background of Xu Yuan’s notes;secondly,it summarizes Xu Yuan’s notes through the text, which is characterized by its beautiful language and its generalization of paragraphs and sentences;and then it compares Li Shan’s notes with Xu Yuan’s,illustrating the features of Li Shan’s supplementary commentary that enrich the content of the commentary, identify the exegesis of words, and appropriately corroborate the old commentary.Chapter 4: Feather Hunting Fu and the Chang yang Fu,Annotated by Li Shan and Yan Shigu.By comparing the "introduction of narrative" of Li Shan’s notes with Yan Shigu’s notes and their specific contents,we analyse the cases in which the two commentaries quote the same old commentary and different old notes.Comparing the different characteristics of the two notes, and analyse the special case of Li Shan’s notes quoting Yan Shigu’s notes in the Chang Yang Fu. |
