As an important part of Chinese traditional culture,folk beliefs play an importamt role in Chinese history and have a profound impact on the stability of rural society.Since the reform and opening up,with the implementation of the policy of freedom of religious belief,the folk beliefs in some rural areas of our country have become increasingly active.However,the content of folk beliefs is mixed.On the one hand,it can play a positive role in social stability.On the other hand,it can also have a negative effect on social groups and individuals that cannot be ignored,affecting rural social stability.Such as absurd concepts in folk beliefs and superstitions in ghosts and gods,which not only mislead the people’s thinking and actions,but also easily trigger criminal activities,and provide opportunities for the spread of cults.In addition,there are also some hidden dangers of public safety in folk belief activities,which must be taken seriously and actively prevented and managed.This article is based on social anomie theory and functional theory,comprehensively using literature research and empirical research methods,taking Licun Town,Xingtai City,Hebei Province as a case,through observation,interviews and other methods to deeply understand the impact of folk beliefs on rural social stability.Analyze the reasons for its active and negative influence,and explore methods to guide folk beliefs and rural social stability.This article is divided into six parts:The first part mainly explains the background of the topic,the research purpose and methods,the current situation of the research,the interpretation and differentiation of folk beliefs and related concepts.In addition,introduced the theory of criminal sociology used in this article.The second part introduces the social background and current status of folk beliefs in Licun Town of Xingtai City,including the main types of local folk beliefs and the main forms of folk belief activities.The third part analyzes the positive role of folk beliefs in maintaining the stability of rural society,including the functions of moral education,cultural inheritance,social integration and social control.The fourth part analyzes the negative influence of folk beliefs on rural social stability from three different perspectives based on the interview materials and primary data collected by believers of local folk beliefs,local governments,public security agencies and other departments.First,analyzes the illegal and criminal activities that may be triggered by folk beliefs,then analyzes the hidden public safety risks in large-scale folk belief activities,and finally analyzes its existing problems from the interaction between folk beliefs and government management as a breakthrough point.The fifth part analyzes the reasons why folk beliefs are active in local areas and have negative effects from four aspects,including social reasons,the governance of relevant departments,villagers’ own reasons and folk beliefs themselves.In the sixth part,we put forward relevant thinking and suggestions on the ways and methods to guide folk beliefs to adapt to the rural social stability,which are mainly discussed from the perspectives of knowledge,law,culture,and society. |
