In the seventeen-year(1949-1966)films with the theme-oriented creation,comedy film is a special film category.It transcends the limitation of theme,focuses on the production and living of the laboring people in the socialist construction period,and shows the characteristics and diversity of the times.This dissertation aims to study the expressions of love in comedy films during 1949-1966,using Benjamin’s "Politicization of Art" as the theoretical basis for exploring the ideological function of films and observing the concrete practice of "17 years" love-comedy films(comedy films with love elements)through the mechanism of socialist politics-aesthetic,so as to interpret the characteristics and value of socialist love in the form of comedy film.The main part of the dissertation is divided into three chapters.The first chapter sorts out the development track of "17 years" love-comedy films,further clarifies the influence of political movement on literary creation,and tries to describe the characteristics of love expressed in the film.First of all,in the production and living dominated by class politics,young workers,peasants,and soldiers become the love subject.Secondly,the internalization of political discourse into emotional instinct makes love no longer a personal affair but a collective event.In addition,the choice of love subjects in the love triangle symbolizes the choice of ideology to national subjects.The second chapter first clarifies the historical relationship between politics and love,and discusses the norms of expressions of love in films in the context of the times.Film criticism takes the logic of negation as the answer to "what is true love",and constructs a film practice direction that needs continuous "purify".Then through the analysis of the films such as Story of a Watch and Li Shuangshuang,it points out that love has become the road to political liberation.The education of love in "17 years" love-comedy films is always carried out in the comparison of advanced and backward,and the ultimate goal is to transform backward thoughts and call for a new generation of the times.In the third chapter,through the careful perusal of Happiness,Seeking Love,Trouble on the Playground,Cuckoo Cuckoo Again,The Story of Jin Ling,Better and Better,and other films,this dissertation makes an effective discussion of "characters","scenery","daily life" and "laugh",so as to establish the uniqueness of socialist beauty;then,combining with the form of comedy,this dissertation further explores the healthy and optimistic aesthetic style of socialist love.In the process of analyzing the films,this dissertation expounds and proves the value of "17 years" love-comedy film in socialist aesthetic education,connecting with the effect of films in cultivating an aesthetic perception,shaping an aesthetic taste and exploring the aesthetic ability.Of course,the practice of literature and art in the seventeen years(1949-1966)has its limitations of historical conditions.However,this study attempts to describe a more all-round expression of love in the "17 years" comedy films,which may also provide references of image and culture for the current situation in which the context of the times is completely different,whether it is the syntax of love,the grammar of love,or the law of love. |
