| With the introduction of “the view of English learning activities” in the English curriculum,many scholars and researchers have carried out in-depth research on it.However,most of the current research focus on the design of teaching materials,activities,and rarely study the present situation of the application.Therefore,it is of great significance to know how senior high school English teachers understand and implement “the view of English learning activities” for reading teaching,which is conductive to promoting the progress of the new curriculum reform,implementing the cultivation of English core competence and improving the efficiency of reading teaching.This study lasted for four months from September to December,2020.During this period,41 English teachers from a senior high school in Qinhuangdao,Hebei Province were investigated by questionnaire,classroom observation and semi-structured interview.Through these investigations,the current situation of high school reading teaching based on “ the view of English learning activities ” is collected.The author first used SPSSAU to analyze the questionnaire,and explain the chart to know the current high school English teachers’ attitude,understanding and application of “the view of English learning activities”.Secondly,by the way of comparing the classroom observation results with “the view of English learning activities”,the conclusion could be drawn that how well the English teachers’ class design fit in with “the view of English learning activities”.Finally,the author analyzed the results of interview to realize the difficulties encountered by teachers and expected help of teachers in implementing “ the view of English learning activities”.Through the analysis,the final conclusions are as follows: 1.Senior high school English teachers do not have enough knowledge about “the view of English learning activities”,but they have a high degree of recognition and there is a certain degree of application in the reading teaching.2.The activity design of reading teaching reflects some requirements of “the view of English learning activities”,but the degree of compliance needs to be improved.3.There are many difficulties in the implementation of reading teaching based on “the view of English learning activities”.In order to better promote the implementation of the concept,teachers should pay attention to the improvement of their professional abilities,and education authorities and schools should provide enough support and help. |
