| As the core content of English teaching,reading is the main way to cultivate students’ core literacy of English subject.In the spring of 2018,the Ministry of Education issued the English Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)and abbreviated as English Curriculum Standards later to implement the core literacy of the subject and realize the goal of cultivating talents through virtue.The View of English Learning Activity has been put forward that points to the development of the core literacy of the subject.The View of English Learning Activity advocates that students should internalize knowledge and integrate skills through “learning-centered” and “activity-oriented” English learning activities to cultivate their ability to analyze and solve problems.By this,the author attempts to study the influence of the View of English Learning Activities in primary schools and tries to answer the following two questions: What are the effects of the View of English Learning Activity on primary school students’ reading interest? What are the effects of the View of English Learning Activity on primary school students’ English reading ability?The 46 subjects are from Class 1 Grade 6 in Xiaoji Primary School in Tangshan.The research carried out lasted 16 weeks.The experimental class adopts English reading teaching guided by the View of English Learning Activities.The author analyzes the influence of the View of English Learning Activity on students’ reading interest and reading ability through the progressive activities of language,thinking,and culture,such as learning and understanding comprehension activities,application and practice activities,and transformation and creation activities.Questionnaires,reading comprehension tests,and interviews were used as research tools.Through the analysis of the collected data by the SPSS 24.0,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The application of the View of English Learning Activity in English reading teaching in primary school can stimulate students’ reading interest and enthusiasm.In the process of reading,students are more confident,motivated to learn,actively discuss and communicate,and their learning enthusiasm is greatly stimulated.(2)The application of the View of English Learning Activity in English reading teaching in primary school helped to improve students’ reading ability.Students can gain a better understanding of the whole discourse and receive better scores in reading comprehension,including guessing words,inferring the meaning,finding details,and summarizing the main idea. |
