Research On The Narrative Strategy Of La Nouvelle Vague

Affected by Andre Bazin’s theory,a group of young film critics from Cahiers du Cinema began to create scripts and served as directors in person,created lots of stylized and modernity films.The director includes Francois Truffaut,Jean-Luc Godard,Claude Chabrol,Alain Resnais,Agnes Varda and so on.They became the backbone of the La Nouvelle Vafue and propelled the development of the films has entered a new era.La Nouvelle Vafue have great style and uniqueness in narrative strategy.Research on the narrative strategy of La Nouvelle Vafue is on the basis of summarizing Andre Bazin’s theory,using the method of combining cross-media comparison,theoretical interpretation and work analysis,and follows the principle of unification of history and logic.Starting from the four dimensions of "telling" and "showing",narrative time and narrative space,this paper explores the theoretical basis and narrative strategy of La Nouvelle Vafue in detail.The research on the narrative strategy of La Nouvelle Vafue is an in-depth interpretation of the narrative level of the classic films.From the perspective of cross-media narrative research,it enriches the research content of film narratology and has a breakthrough significance for the interdisciplinary research on film and narratology.
