Research On The Representation Of Regional Cultural Symbols In The Urban Visual Recognition System

With the progress of society and the development of economy,the scale of the city is also constantly expanding.As time passes,the image construction of the city has become one of the important tasks of urban development.Urban visual identification system is an extremely important external expression in the construction of city image,and also the condensed regional cultural symbol,which is of vital importance in the city propaganda and construction.At present,the research on city image construction at home and abroad is on the rise.Many cities have developed mature visual identification systems,such as Hong Kong,Chongqing,Guangzhou,Hangzhou,Paris,London,Melbourne and so on.The visual identification systems of these cities have also made indelible contributions to the building of city image.However,the visual identification system of many cities is still not highly identifiable and has not formed a systematic implementation method.In this paper,by collecting and consulting a large number of relevant theoretical literature,and investigating excellent urban visual identification systems at home and abroad,this paper analyzes and summarizes the expression methods of regional cultural symbols in the urban visual identification system,and seeks for the value and significance of regional cultural symbols in the urban visual identification system.Finally,the Handan visual identification system is taken as an application case to conduct field research,select the regional cultural symbols with Handan characteristics and apply them in the Handan visual identification system to improve the identification degree and enhance the public’s sense of identity to Handan,and provide design methods and ideas for shaping Handan visual identification system.Regional cultural symbols play an important role in the city visual identification system,which plays a powerful role in promoting the construction and development of city image.Building a city visual identification system with regional characteristics can improve the recognition and popularity of the city externally,and enhance the cohesion of the city internally.
