Research And Practice Of Themes Of Begonia In Flower-and-bird Painting

Flowers have always been a natural carrier of people’s thoughts,emotions and aspirations.The love between Chinese and flowers has a long history.Almost every kind of flower has a myth and legend connected with it,and also has a generally accepted meaning of reference.So does Begonia.From the origin of her name,which is said to be the goddess of flowers beside the Jade Emperor,"the jade lady" accidentally fell into the mortal world,we can feel people’s love for her thousands of years ago.It has the same syllable with the Chinese word "Tang",which has the meaning of auspiciousness and happiness since ancient times.The Chinese people’s love for Begonia has never changed,and the Begonia paintings have been constantly enriched and developed.This paper focuses on the techniques and aesthetic research of Begonia paintings in flower and bird paintings,mainly through the following aspects to analyze and discuss the thesis.Firstly,it expounds the evolution and change of Begonia culture,from the origin of the appellation of Begonia to the discrimination of the varieties of Begonia,and systematically discusses the formation of its cultural system;secondly,it analyzes the development and innovation of the performance techniques and aesthetic characteristics of the works of Begonia in the past dynasties,and then explores the humanistic meaning of the works of the artists.Since the flower and bird painting became an independent branch,there have been five generations of Begonia paintings that can be tested.The exquisite painting skills and rich color and shape of the paintings reflect that the five generations of flower and bird painting are not limited to one style.The Begonia theme in the Song Dynasty’s courtyard painting is exquisite and elegant,from which we can feel the artistic form of the combination of "objects" and "poetry" in the Song Dynasty;the Begonia in the literati painting Some of them are simple and naive,some of them are proud and independent,and the artistic techniques of holding objects and expressing feelings by borrowing flowers have reached the peak in literati paintings;the paintings of modern Begonia theme reflect the reform and innovation of the artistic creation form of the artists when the Chinese and Western cultures collide and the west is the center.Finally,in the practice of self,combining the traditional painting techniques with the aesthetic characteristics of the contemporary new fine brushwork,to promote the creation of self fine brushwork Begonia.The research methods of this paper are mainly iconography and documentary research.Through the integration and analysis of documentary materials,the research and creation of this paper are combined with self aesthetic feeling.
