Meticulous heavy-color painting is an important technique of expression in traditional Chinese painting.It originates from mineral colors and metal colors in ancient China.It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese painting.Compared with traditional ink painting,contemporary heavy-color painting techniques absorb modern culture and aesthetic elements,with bright colors,rich techniques and stronger visual impact.It is deeply loved by the public because of its characteristics of both elegance and folklore.In the process of creation,artists learn from the western color composition and combine it with the traditional Chinese plane composition,pay attention to the dye,color application and texture expression,and make unremitting exploration on the expression of color and the use of materials,opening up a brand new visual language and artistic expression for meticulous and heavy color painting.Based on my graduation creation practice,this paper makes a preliminary exploration on the application of heavy color techniques in meticulous flower-and-bird painting.Based on my graduation creation practice,this paper makes a preliminary exploration on the application of heavy color techniques in meticulous flower-and-bird painting.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part focuses on the concept,background,development process and current situation of contemporary development of meticulous brushwork and double-color painting.It carries out case analysis from the aspects of picture composition,material application and expression techniques,and summarizes the painting style and artistic characteristics of contemporary meticulous brushwork and double-color painting,in order to lay the foundation for the application of meticulous brushwork and double-color painting techniques in the creation of flower-and-bird painting.The second part is the key chapter of the thesis.Through the steps of copying,sketching and creation attempts,I constitute a complete creation process,apply the techniques of double color to the creation of flower and bird painting,and finally complete the graduation creation.The third part discusses the significance of heavy color technique in the creation of flower and bird painting,summarizes personal feelings and inspirations in the creation,and makes knowledge reserve and experience accumulation for the next artistic exploration.
