A Study Of Uygur Translation Of Idioms In Xi Jinping’s Talks On Governing The Country

The first volume of Xi Jinping’s Talk on Governing the Country is an important political work in C hina,which records that since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the central leading collective with Xi Jinping as the leading core has led the people of the whole country to bravely face all challenges on the socialist road.The book mainly recorded 79 important speeches,speeches,congratulatory letters and spiritual guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping from November 15,2012 to June 13,2014,which answered in detail the practical problems encountered by our party and country in this new historical period and the methods and determination to solve them.The publication of Xi Jinping’s Talk on Governing the Country in minority languages has greatly promoted the minority cadres and masses to understand the national policies and guidelines,and helped them to publicize the Party’s thoughts and policies to the people in a timely manner,thus promoting the construction of a well-off society in an all-round way and the continuous prosperity and development of the economy in various regions.By reading the original works and the translated versions,we can find that Xi Jinping’s Talk on Governing the Country uses a large number of idioms with various forms and rich expressions.Therefore,this paper chooses the idioms in the book as the research object,classifies them and studies them one by one.Based on the translation principles of political documents,this paper sorts out the method s and skills of idiom translation,and expounds its rules in Uyghur translation,hoping to improve the translation quality of idioms in political documents on the basis of existing political documents translation.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the collation of previous studies,mainly from the research purpose and significance,research status,research methods,concept definition,etc.,through inductive analysis,it summarizes the research results of scholars’ idioms on Xi Jinping’s Talks on Governing the Country and the idioms in the book,laying a foundation for the later writing;The second part introduces the classification of idioms in Xi Jinping’s book on governing the country,which is divided into idioms,proverbs,maxims and proverbs;The third part is the focus of this paper,which classifies and analyzes the translation examples of idioms in this book,and analyzes the translation methods and rules of each type of idioms according to specific conditions;The fourth part discusses the translation principles of idioms in political documents by combining the translation principles of political documents and how to embody them concretely through skills.The last part is the conclusion,which mainly combs the above contents and summarizes the full text.
